Blanca is an Elite Stylist with 25 years of experience – 9 of them with Aveda – and she’s still loving every minute! “I have a passion for cuts and color, customizing each style for a refreshing and modern look,” says Blanca. She keeps fit due to her love of exercise, and enjoys reading and cooking authentic Mexican dishes. Blanca also owns a salon in Mexico.

Diana has 12 years of experience in the industry, working in New York, California, Minnesota, and Hawai‘i. She loves to help people look their best, so they feel their best! Diana’s work has been inspired by fashion, and her travels around the world. On her days off, Diana enjoys all outdoor activities, such as running and swimming, and she also loves yoga and cooking.

Joshua graduated from an accredited Aveda Institute in Lansing, Michigan. He moved to Hawai‘i to continue his growth with Aveda. Joshua has done hair and makeup for the NorthWest Airlines new uniform fashion show, Make-A-Wish Foundation, and Aveda Unplugged. Joshua loves being creative with hair. Since moving to Honolulu, he has been exploring his new home, and enjoys being in the ocean, hiking, and eating.

Originally from Tokyo, Masami has 30 years of experience in Japan, New York, and Honolulu. He is highly skilled in cutting, permanent waves, straight perms, and Brazilian Blowout. He is bilingual, serving English- and Japanese-speaking guests. In his spare time, Masami enjoys reading books and golfing.

Armida graduated from the Honolulu School of Massage in 1999. She also received her aesthetician’s license in 2004. Armida is Aveda-trained and proficient in all Aveda body and skincare treatments. “I enjoy the creativity and tranquility of my work, because I make others feel better,” says Armida. Outside of work, Armida enjoys cooking and surfing, and she recently joined a roller derby team!

Heidi has been in the beauty industry for 22 years. She received her Beauty Operator License in 1993, and has been working as an aesthetician ever since – at a luxury resort spa, and then with Aveda since 2000. Heidi has been trained extensively with the Aveda product line, and has had the privilege of visiting the Aveda Institute and Headquarters in Minneapolis. She is a trainer at Ho‘ala, which she absolutely enjoys. “What I like most about this industry is that I can help people feel a little less stressed and a little more beautiful,” says Heidi. Outside of work, Heidi enjoys drinking coffee, going to the North Shore with her family, Bollywood movies, reading fashion or home decorating magazines, and drinking more coffee!

Masako has had 9 years of hair, makeup, aesthetics, and kimono training at Nihon Beauty School in Tokyo. She worked at a spa in Japan for 6 years, and has been in Hawai‘i for 17 years, working the past 10 years for Aveda and Ho‘ala. In her spare time, Masako likes to paint and sing karaoke.

Nami is a Licensed Massage Therapist, and has a total of 15 years experience in beauty and massage. She has worked in Tokyo, New York and here in Hawai‘i. She always has a warm smile and puts her guests at ease. Her desire is to provide the best service and offer a wonderful experience to heal body and soul for each guest. Because of her keen interest in Hawaiian history and culture, she makes beautiful Hawaiian quilts and volunteers at Bishop Museum in her spare time.

Judith is a Licensed Massage Therapist, and has 8 years of massage experience working in Hawai‘i. She really feels good about making her guests feel better, and enjoys interacting with all of the people she meets. Judith loves reading and watching funny movies.

Terri – currently out on maternity leave. Terri has been a massage therapist for over 10 years. The decision to choose this career path stemmed from her lifelong fascination with the human body and its functions. “I strive to give our spa guests an experience that benefits both the mind and body at the same time,” she says. She thoroughly enjoys working in the nurturing, calm atmosphere of Ho‘ala, which also nurtures her artistic soul. Terri has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, and loves to paint and draw whenever time permits!

Megumi has over 6 years of experience in the nail salon. She pays great attention to detail, and likes to deliver serenity to each of her guests. She can see them relax a great deal between the time they meet, and when she is done, and that gives Megumi a great deal of happiness. On her days off, Megumi enjoys relaxing and watching TV.

Satoko has 8 years of experience working in a spa. Before working in Hawai‘i, she also received training in ultra-stylish and hip Harajuku in Tokyo. “I love what I do!” exclaims the always smiling Satoko. “Providing the best services & greatest experience at our salon is my passion!”
Satoko says that she truly believes that service has to come from the heart. She commits herself to doing her best for each guest she meets. In Japanese, this philosophy is call “ichigoichie,” and she lives by it. Satoko really appreciates all her guests’ support and warm friendship. In her free time, Satoko enjoys cooking & reading books.
